2009 Tea Time With Berea Health Ministry Announced

The second annual "Tea Time with Berea Health Ministry" will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. in the Berea Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

Individuals, groups of friends, organizations or businesses may host a table, decorate that table to a theme of their choice, invite guests, and enjoy a Traditional Afternoon Tea with entertainment. The cost of a table for six is $100. Prizes will be awarded to winning tables in several categories. Only 24 tables are available.

"Tea Time With Berea Health Ministry" is a fundraiser for the non-profit Berea Health Ministry Rural Health Clinic located at 132 Mini Mall Drive, Berea, Kentucky, 40403. The Clinic serves residents without health insurance from Clark, Clay, Estill, Garrard, Jackson, Laurel, Madison, Powell and Rockcastle Counties.

The first fundraising afternoon tea held in October 2008, was a fun and successful event with twenty-two tables of guests attending. The table decorations were spectacular, and ranged from tables with heirloom china to whimsical decor. A full traditional afternoon tea menu was prepared and served by volunteers.

Anticipation is mounting for the October 17, 2009 event as hostesses plan their table themes and decorations. The Berea Health Ministry Tea Committee is diligently working to plan a lovely menu and delightful entertainment, while spreading the word about the great services provided to rural Kentuckians by the Clinic.

In addition to the afternoon tea, a silent auction will be held and grab bags will be for sale. Donations are welcome.
